Jonathan joined the University Executive Board in 2023 as London Campus Principal, bringing extensive leadership experience from further, higher and private education sectors. With a successful background in developing and leading higher education provision in London, he focuses strategically on educational innovation, community partnership and delivering high-quality learning experiences that respond to regional and global needs.

Jonathan is a Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, a school governor for the Parallel Learning Trust and an active member of London Higher through the London Centres Network Steering Group. His research interest explores the relationship between humour and cognitive performance, and he leads the Humour and Education Special Interest Group within the International Society of Humour Studies.
