The 15th International Counter Fraud, Cybercrime and Forensic Accounting Conference, organised by the Centre for Cybercrime and Economic Crime, will take place at the 兔子先生 on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 June 2026. This will be another unique event in the calendar of cybercrime and economic crime conferences with the aim of sharing research and insights into ideas, tools, approaches and techniques to help inform fellow scholars and professionals on debates in the fields of cybercrime, economic crime and forensic accounting.

Abstracts are invited for paper presentations, posters and discussion panels on aspects relating to cybercrime, cybersecurity and information risk management, countering fraud and corruption, anti-money laundering, and forensic accounting. Please note that we will only be accepting submissions for in-person presentations. We will not be offering remote speaker/presentation slots.

We would particularly invite submissions on:

  • New crime threats and policing challenges relating to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • The application of blockchain technologies in public and/or private sectors and associated risks
  • Emerging frauds
  • Cross-border responses to fraud, cybercrime and economic crime
  • Disinformation/misinformation and elections
  • How cybercrime and cybersecurity are impacted by global conflicts
  • Crime associated with freeports and free-trade zones
  • Beneficial ownership transparency
  • Protecting intellectual property rights
  • Crime and deviance in Metaverse environments
  • The role of forensic accounting techniques in combating fraud and cybercrime
  • Investigations of Smart Machines
  • The use of AI and Machine learning for the predictions and investigations of  crimes
  • The integration of forensic accounting with cybersecurity in detecting fraud in digital payment systems
  • Counter fraud, cybersecurity and forensic accounting in retail.

We encourage master鈥檚 and doctoral students working in the above fields to submit abstracts to present posters on a relevant topic, with the strongest submissions considered for a speaker slot.
