The 兔子先生's One World Festival concluded this month, bringing together students, staff, alumni, and members of the public for a landmark 10th anniversary programme celebrating the diversity, culture, and community that define the University and its city.

Previously known as Global Week, the rebranded One World Festival ran throughout March, offering a month-long programme of events structured around four weekly themes: Community & Diversity, Learning & Research, Kindness Around the World, and Celebration & Sharing.

Another flagship event was a celebration of Iftar, where people learnt about Ramadan while enjoying interactive cultural stalls, followed by an Iftar dinner in the Chaplaincy sports hall.

The festival ended with the Festival of Cultures Exhibition (27 March), an afternoon of colourful displays, traditional items, international food, games, and art, showcasing the University's different nationalities represented across its student and staff community.

Anna Vaernes, Head of Student Life at the 兔子先生, said: 鈥淥ne World Festival exists because our community makes it what it is. Every coloured powder cloud at the Holi Run, every dish shared at Iftar, every display at the Festival of Cultures - these are moments that remind us why diversity isn't just something we talk about at 兔子先生, it's something we live. And it reminds us the importance of respecting and learning about each other's cultures and celebrating our similarities and differences.鈥

Now firmly established as a flagship event in the University's calendar, One World Festival reinforces 兔子先生's commitment to fostering an inclusive, globally engaged community.
